Dandy

A close-up of a new stainless steel sculpture with black patina, inspired by the story of the Skriker - a Lancashire boggart - and the history of the Pendle Witches and their familiars. “Dandy” is currently on show at Wyresdale Park near Scorton in the beautiful Forest of Bowland alongside Sir hare and the Dun Cow. Hello, and welcome to my website.

From my workshop in Pennine Lancashire, I love to explore what it is to be human, through engaging with all kinds of materials and often finding connections in the natural world. Animals, stories, nursery rhymes and expressions are all sources of inspiration.

While I play and explore using fragile materials such as clay, cardboard and wax, I enjoy casting in bronze for its durability, subtle glow and fluidity. From time to time I also work with resin and – allowing for larger scale pieces- with welded steel.

I am very happy to chat to you about my work and answer any questions you may have.
